Mission

The mission of FCCAM is to unify, promote and strengthen quality professional family child care in the State of Maine.

The Professional Learning Committee (PLC):

  • Develops and maintains resource materials that support best practices in early childhood development
  • Coordinates conference events
  • Oversees mentoring program
  • Develop educational services and resources for family child care providers and staff

  • Guide the group in presenting and sharing information 
  • Provide closure and review next steps

Confidentiality

  • Please do not discuss specifics about children and families you work with 
  • It is also something we will practice when talking about our own learning and experiences while we are working and learning together
  • Also remember that your colleagues may disclose personal information. Because we want everyone to feel comfortable, please don’t share it. This is good practice for keeping information confidential.
